We live in Florida and need strong sunscreen for any amount of time in the sun. I apply this lotion liberally before putting on my suit. I really like this as an everyday sunscreen and for outdoor sports. It looks thick compared to the watery Kinesys (my other go-to sunscreen), but the Eucerin goes on light and stays put. Unlike Kinesys, it doesn't get into my eyes by the afternoon. I still prefer the K. brand for easy application to my hairy arms and legs, but the Eucerin 30 is perfect for face and neck. I also tried the SPF 50 version of this, and the spray-can version, but they don't go on very well, so I'm returning to this one.
