By adding the extra 1. 5" to the stem length, the anchor is easily flashed through the pan or barrel section of the tile, leaving the attachment hole accessible. The standard tile roof flashing features an EPDM boot that is vulcanized to a malleable 20"x20" aluminum base providing a means to easily conform to the undulations

They are sturdy, leak proof, inexpensive, I used them in the microwave (not for too long), durable and cute. I like them. I would probably get a bigger size next time, but these will do. I don't like loading or unloading the dishwasher. These help me grab a bite to eat and after I finish, I dump them in the trash. No mess. No cleanup. That's the way, uh huh, uh huh. I like it.
