I rarely get insurance on flights or trips but when I bought my steam generator, I just thought why not, I use this thing almost every other day. And it broke after 16 months of use, and they reviewed my claim within 15 minutes and sent the gift card so I got a brand new replacement generator for a $10 Asurion warranty I bought at that time a couple years ago.
