I appliqued felt shapes to the background, then embroidered the details and framed the scene in a 4 inch 10cm wooden hoop, which I hand painted. Each little landscape is made individually, and no two are exactly the same, but the Fuchsia Cottage design will closely resemble these photos.

UPDATE. This is a couple of months old and it is rusting staining our counter top. Why in the world would they make a high usage product that will rust? Our kitchen got new counters and sink. I needed something to keep my soap and sponge in and this is perfect. Holds my dawn, my hand soap and sponge.
