It was produced by McCord Radiator & Manufacturing Co. of Detroit, Michigan and exhibits a lot number of "1029A", approximately dating its production to late 1944. The helmet retains its original olive drab factory finish, cork texture, and OD#3 (khaki) chinstraps with brass hardware and a flat buckle. I have some age / sun spots and was really hoping that this would lighten them at least a little as they are very noticeable. My skin is very fair / light and I’ve used two full bars (very small) every day for a few months now and have not noticed a single bit of improvement.
